Be Prepared For A Record Breaker!
South Jersey is blessed with countless saline estuaries
and seemingly limitless miles of natural
sod banks and salt marshes. These wild areas are the natural habitats of
Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Harriers, various waterfowl such as
Herons, Egrets and many duck species, as well as breeding
grounds for terrapins, fishes, crabs. These marshes
are also the nursery of the many species of fish. Every autumn,
voracious Striped Bass visit these natural fisheries partaking
in a Fall feeding frenzy.
The fight and
size of these Stripers are legendary, many large trophy fish
have been taken while feeding in shallow waters. Hooking into a
large Striper while in a kayak is a wild experience...you could
go for a "sleigh ride" with a record setting fish.
It is not
uncommon for Striped Bass to range into the 20
to 50 pound range…so be prepared for a record breaker!
