Legendary Tilley Hats Shading Heads at the Shack

Acknowledged as the best-made and most practical hats of their type in the world.  Innovations include Hydrofil^® as a sweatband material because it helps perspiration evaporate more quickly; a special plastic wire to better support the brims of some Hats; a sunglasses holder to all Hats that have ventilation grommets, and more recently, mesh to many lighter weight Hats, to help you remain cool and comfortable. Most Tilley hats have been designed in unisex styles to be worn by men and women.

For Spring 2006: Introducing the "TMs', the newest generation of Tilley Hats. Tilley Mesh Hats are lightweight, cool and comfortable because the crowns are made of strong, ‘3-D’, polyester mesh which blocks sunlight, but allows air to pass easily. The mesh has also been treated to provide water repellency. The tops of the crowns are shaped/blocked like many fedoras or western hats and their shape isn't lost after washing. The TM10 Mesh Hat is styled with the broader brim size of the Tilley T4 model. The TM11 Mesh Hat is styled with the medium, semi-sloping brim size of the Tilley T5 and LTM5 models.

The Tilley Airflo^® provides sun protection in a lighterweight construction. Tilley Airflo^® designs incorporate mesh into the crown allowing coolness and comfort during hot days or strenuous activities. Engineered from Tilley Nylamtium^®, a strong
water-and-mildew resistant form of nylon. The LTM6 is the Airflo^® version of our LT6 Hat, and has a broader brim and a taller crown than all the other Tilleys.

The TH4 Hemp Hat
New Mocha Color 
Styled after the popular T4 Hat, the TH4 Hemp Hat has a wider down-sloping brim than the TH5. The TH4 Hat is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts who want more protection from sun and rain.

Why Hemp? Not only do our Hemp Hats look great, but they have a soft linen-like look with a 'tough as nails attitude'. In fact, Hemp is the world's strongest natural fiber. It is breathable, and naturally resistant to UV light, mould, mildew and salt water. Tilley Hemp fabric has been tested and certified as having a UPF 50+; this is the maximum UV protection rating given.

The cotton-duck T4 was designed especially with hikers, canoeists, and kayakers in mind, and do they love `em! It has also made a hit with gardeners and with others who need the ample sun and rain protection provided by the down-sloping brim. 

The T4 has the same well-ventilated high crown as the T5, but with a larger brim.
